Sew and Go class in June
So our Sew and Go classes at Scrapbooks Etc. kicked off with a very big BANG with our summer series starting. I missed teaching it while I was off to see Baby Noah but we are fired up and ready to have everyone come again for the 2nd class of June. We had such a great turn out, we've been talking about this summer series for months now and everyone must have listened! They all made a darling tote that will hold all their sewing supplies for taking to class. And the class this next week is this cute zippered iron tote that you can even put a hot iron in. Also the portable ironing mat. I've been known to grab that mat when you just need to touch up your skirt to go to work and I was to lazy to get out the ironing board!!!! handy thing to have. We had such a great response to the classes that some people couldn't get in. So we've had a powow with the "powers that be" at Scrapbooks and they all agreed with us that we want to turn no one away. So we've got a new plan for class, we did have to close the class finally on thursday after reaching 60+ so that we could have the right kits cut for each person. ( everything matches in each person's colorway) So if you've missed out, here is how you get back in to classes that you've missed. Get signed up for the July classes now, then come in and sign up for getting the kits made of the classes that you missed so that you'll still have all the fun projects in your matching fabrics. Just remember you have to be signed up ahead, these kits don't just magically appear and we want you all to be happy with your projects and the only way we can is by being organized with Barb's spread sheet! hope you are one of the 60+ that are coming on tuesday, we are in for some fun! And rumor has it that there is a cool rowenta travel iron to be raffled off! thus the raffle ticket in your cute little kit! Can't wait!

Sew and Go Again
Barb and I made samples for our Sew and Go Again class the end of June. Our once a month class to let all come and experience what fun Sew and Go is! This is the cute little bag...the "Panache Bag". It's a fun little size, perfect for your camera, or all those necessities in our purses to keep them organized! Barb cut me a kit for this one....
Then tonight I whipped up another one just for fun, I think maybe I'll take this one down to Scrapbooks to leave it for everyone to see at the register. If you want to come and make one there is still a few spaces in class. It's the last wed. of the month, at night, June 29 6:00-8:30. I think I might have to make more of these!

Bode's 1st Birthday Party
Here's our little Bode who's ready to celebrate his first birthday the end of June. He's going to be off on his trip with Mommy and Daddy to visit his new cousin Noah and then on to spend time at the beach with MB's family so they had his birthday party a bit early. What a great crowd showed up to honor this little guy! 60 in all, and about 25 of them were kids from all their family and friends. What a fun party for you Bode.
He's trying out his new table and chairs that Grammy and Papa gave him, he thought they were so fun and is thinking maybe pushing a chair around all over the floor like a walker is the best!
Here's cousin Ethan...
Bode and his little friend Gavin...
Here's my Mom holding little Landon, another cousin... he is doing so good in his doc band, he's grown so much and has this darling big smile.

Alissa and Alan...

Our airplane rescue squad!
Here's some random pictures I took the other night when we got back into Phoenix. Here are the little boys and Amy, they are looking at their army men sets that just happened to be in my backpack!
Ethan was so excited...his first army men!
He was determined to roll one of our suitcases and did, right out to the car! He was a bit disappointed since at 2 years old thought he was going to get to go on the airplane too with Grammy.
and here's our little guy at Someburro's eating his churro!

Home to Arizona
Well we had to leave little Noah in Mississippi with his Mommy and Daddy...
they weren't to keen on us taking him with us! He'll be happiest tho with his Mommy and Daddy who I can tell will be doing a wonderful job as parents! It's so much fun to watch your children fall in love with their babies! I'm going to hate this long distance grandparenting, but phone photo's and skype will get us thru! We drove ourselves back to Birmingham and left Jeremy's truck at the airport for Jamie's folks to get off their plane and drive it back to Columbus! Didn't that work out! The best part was we got to see them at the airport, we thought we'd miss each other but the plane they arrived on was the one Ken was getting on for his trek home and mine was leaving 1/2 hour later! So it was fun to see Bruce and Vicki at the airport as they were on their way to meet their first grandson! At the other end Ken and I had 3 smiling little boys, running down the corridor with arms out, makes you feel so good! Amy brought the boys to pick us up. After dinner with them on the way home, it was good to be home, tired, things felt hot in Az but it really wasn't that bad, clothes felt damp coming out of the suitcase, isn't it funny the change in climates! We hit the ground running and get to celebrate our Bode's first birthday this weekend too. Can you believe it 5 little Grandsons! We have our BASKETBALL TEAM! They make my heart smile!

Today's news
Yesterday we had a busy day in Mississippi doing all kinds of new things, Jeremy took us out in the woods near their house to do some target shooting, it was near a little beaver pond altho the beaver never did show up. It was fun to shoot a few of Jeremy's guns, I'm not so good at it but it was fun to try! he has this target built out there that spins when you hit the metal.
My Mom gave Jeremy my Grandfathers 2 guns, one is a WWll gun and this one was his squirrel hunting gun. Jeremy had it refurbished and refinished the wood and it's amazing how neat it looks.

Another chore we got done was Furminating the beagle! It was amazing how much hair came off of him. We went out in the front yard so it wouldn't all blow in the pool! Amazing. I ended up coming in and ordering one for my kitties, hope they like it! Beagle had to get all brushed up and and bathed for his very important day tomorrow....
In fact it also involved this darling little angel.....
Yep, if you'll go to Jeremy and Jamie's web site you'll see a link to just a couple of the proofs from Noah's 3 hour photo shoot. It was such a fun amazing thing to get to watch. The photographer was so patient letting him fall back to sleep if he woke up or have a bit of a snack, you won't believe how cute some of the positions that got him into are. Even some with the beagle and all folded up in his Daddy's flight helmet! Just a few are up and I can't wait to see all of them! http://jschulds.blogspot.com/ check out how cool this little guy is and follow the link and see some amazing shots of Noah!
Necklace is up to date!

Sew and Go
Our Summer sew and Go series at Scrapbooks Etc. started today with a HUGE bang! I hear everyone left with their tote all the way done....all 50 of y0u ! The class was full before the weekend even hit and everyone was so excited to get started on the fun things Barb and I have planned. It was kinda cool to see one of our classes "sold out"! I missed seeing you all but kept busy with the cute little guy here at the bottom of this post! I'll be back in just a few days to start cutting kits for our next one coming up on the 3rd tuesday of the month....I hear that 47 signed up to guarantee they'd have their matching kit, so there are only a couple spots left. You will LOVE the next project too! I hope you all enjoy your totes that you made, it sure was fun prepping them all for you and won't you be STYLIN now when you go to class or somewhere to sew! Our next project will be holding "all things hot!"
So I had a bit of sewing to do today while in Mississippi. Jeremy needed a couple body pillow- pillow cases. They had a bed skirt not in use so I cut it up and made 2 for them to use until I can make some cute ones at home! Jamie had her Grandma's sewing machine that just puttered along like a champ. And Jeremy showed up with rotary cutting tools in his shop. Now I know all my quilting friends will get a kick out of these! But in a pinch it did the job! Even the metal T square! Hey his blade was even sharp!
Oh here are a couple more random shots from Noah's room....

And here's our little dude! He's stretching out today, while awake swinging his arms and legs around and happy to not be folded up like he's been. But when it's time to sleep, swaddling does the trick!

Mississippi news
Here are a bunch of random photo's I've taken so you can see what is going on in Mississippi. Here is Noah's crib, so cute! He and I share the same birth state! How about that!
Jamie and Jeremy have Noah's room fixed up so cute! This is the dresser that Jeremy built, the knobs of course are airplanes!
Only in the south.... a neighbor brought over this warm pecan pie and ice cream!

Here is our little buddy, he's got on his cute little "monogramed" shirt! I met the gal that did it at the hospital, she said Oh I follow your blog! How nice was that to meet her! Noah seems to have a cute little outfit on every day...or every hour :-)
the evenings have been pretty nice, a bit warm and sticky but not so bad so it's been fun to hang outside.
The garden has been fun to work in, the tomato plants are twice has tall as we grow in Arizona, their growing season is just underway, tomatoes are just blooming, the neighbor brought over some squash from her garden so we grilled it last night.
Magnolia blossoms smell so pretty.
Jamie had Noah's diaper bag monogrammed, it's so cute now!

Here is the hospital Noah was born in, very state of the art, I was totally impressed and their care was wonderful. Jamie's office she works in is just behind where we are standing, thru a cute little park ( Ken and I walked the little path there one day) and there is her building, the pediatrician is right around the corner and Noah's day care will be right down the street, talk about convenience!
Noah's first time out for a walk around the neighborhood in his new stroller!

when you get new dog food in this house, beagle gets to lick out the bag!
This is looking across their front yard....Aileron went for a walk too! The dogs really don't seem to care about the baby, the look up if he crys, sometimes they walk by and sniff him and they seem to look like, oh he's still here, yep same smell. So all is well and we have the day to enjoy. I hear projects are being started with a trip to Lowes for the guys. Jamie's busy with Noah and thankyous, I'm making grocery lists and hear there is a bit of sewing to do on some pillow cases, and yes the washer hasn't stopped!
