Peacock update

For those of you wondering the little peacock is doing great! Toni took him home that night and settled him in with his siblings since he was stronger, he was welcomed back into his little family just fine! He was very hungry and she mixed up egg yolk for him to eat.  He's doing great, scurrying around with his little siblings and comes out from under his Mommies wing to eat and peck at the ground.  I'm so glad she helped him the first day to get stronger since the Mommy peacock was ignoring him!  She showed me a photo of all of the other ones, some are yellow like you'd see a baby chick and then 2 were the brown like Cutter. First time I've been around a baby peacock, he sure was cute, hard to believe in no time he'll be a big majestic bird.

fun with the B Boys

Ken and I went over to help out with the little "B" boys on Sunday   We took Bode swimming while MB and Brock had some "time" and Chris got a nap!  Then we took Bode on an adventure to McDonald's....yes we had fun and no we didn't show him how to do this!

 Lots of playtime....nuggets....french fries...apples....milk....more play....
 And ice cream.....
Home for a nap....we wore him out really well! I loved seeing him cuddle with his quilt...you all remember that one hanging down at ETC!
Some fun with Brock, he's gained weight this week!.....getting round!

A peek at the new Bob stroller, Bode got a ride with the bag of "dirty diapers".....quite the delivery to the door!
So fun to have some time with these little guys!

Our sweet angel....
My folks with Chris and Brock...
So sweet to have this infant so fresh and new...

Sew and Go Visitor

Here is our little Sew and Go Visitor we had today.  It was a fun class, everyone was working hard on their lining for their big bag, so next week we begin the 2 weeks of classes for everyone to finish the outside of the bag...the end of our summer series.  So one of our students had a mother peacock hatch her little clutch of eggs today.  Mommy peacock was not taking care of this little guy so she intervened and took it in to save it and what to do when you have to get to class, you bring him along!  So everyone was taking care of holding the little hours old chick.  We were so amazed at the change just since she brought him in of how strong he had gotten from not being able to get up with the Mommy pushing him aside and by the time she left class he was starting to jump out of his little basket.  So cute to hear that peep peep peep.  So the challenge will be tonight when she tries to place him with his siblings and Mommy and see if they accept him now that he's doing well....I hope so, she'd already named him Cutter since he was coming to sewing class!  So cute to see how cute a hours old peacock can be!

Spooky!!!!

We had such great gals come to our "SPOOKY" class.  Over a dozen came and made this fun halloween quilt.  We had them for one class and sent them home with lots of homework to finish, they came back the next week with all these blocks made!
It was so fun to see everyone's version! and all their fabrics!

Here are just a few of them as they were laying them all out.
I can't wait to see a few of them back finished soon.
And I get to bring mine home now!

splash pad fun with Noah

I'm digging may way out of craziness here and downloaded lots of photo's from the last month finally so I had to show you the fun I had with Noah at a splash pad while he was here. I escaped the craziness of our life and went and got Jamie and 2 of her sisters and babies and took them all to a splash pad to cool off.  Noah is checking it out...
I'm sure it was an odd thing for a child to have water come bubbling up out of no where in this Az heat!

Here are (L-R) Danielle, Jamie, little Charlotte ( Danielle's baby girl) Noah is next and then Stephanie and her little guy Elijah.  It was fun to catch up with Jamie's sisters while they were here and see their little ones.  Danielle is from Virginia and Stephanie is from Brazil via Ohio where they are staying for just a few months and then back to the other side of the hemisphere. Lots of fun they had with those 3 babies all together!
And Noah learned to drink from a straw so boy that was a fun new adventure! Great way to spend a few hours in HOT AZ!
