Bode and Go-Go day!

Bode came and had an entire day with me. I took the day off and we sure had fun!  We went to the mall to play on the toys, saw a crane in action on the way so had to pull over and watch it, course once the airconditioning unit was on the roof Bode says more crane.....I couldn't acomadate that so we went on our way.... He had such fun at the play area of the mall, he loved the climbing At first no one was there and then lots of friends showed up...He loved the "electronic" sit in toys too, in and out and back in and out, running around, he was in his element!  Up and down the escalator a few times, up and down the elevator too......so much fun!
We had ice cream at 10:00AM, Ha, don't you love what grandma's do!
Then the mall train started up so we had to have a ride on that...he loved it, nothing really seems to be intimidating to him.  He picked the blue car to ride in...Then we left and went and met up with Papa at McDonalds, I asked him if he wanted french fries and he said Yesh in his cute way and then nuggets.  So he had fun there, having a bite and then running around and back for another bite.  I think he was pretty tired when we waved bye to Papa and we came home for a nap.  He picked the toddler bed to sleep in and was out for a good long nap.  We watched sesame street when he was waking up as Mommy arrived to pick him up.  And so did his Aunt Amy and cousins Ethan and Garrett.  Sure was a fun day for you and me Bode!
So one little boy left and the other 2 went out for a swim!  They are fish these days, gotta love it! Garrett loves the diving board and again has no care in the world for his body this year, flipping off the side and doing a cartwheel in the air as he goes in.....he's crazy!  Where is the dive team for kids that just turned 5?????
Swimming lessons are wonderful.  Ethan even gets his arms going, not really supposed to yet at 3 but his are!  Strong little dude, no surprise there!  Sure was fun to have a fast swim with you guys, I loved it!  And Papa had someone to play basketball with!

Bode

Our little Bode is getting so grown up!  He's going to be 2 this summer, baby brother Brock will be here in not to long and it seems like this little guy has just grown up all the sudden!  Chris and Bode were over this week to vacate the house so MB could do some "girl" things.  They came for dinner after Bode had spent the day with his Aunt Amy and cousins.  He told me all about how fun it was, bunny rabbit and all!  This little guy has such verbal skills!  It's just amazing !  he decided he needed to vacuum, of course we shrink it down to his size!  We had fun playing and then....

We decided we needed ice cream cones....
And yes he had to start also at the bottom!  Next came a bath and some jammies and he was pretty tired by the time he headed home to Mommy!  What fun to get to spend the time with him and his Daddy!

Sew and Go Summer Series starts!

We had the Greatest class at ETC. yesterday. Our Summer Sew and Go Series started!  Yep we had over 50 sign up and we got started with this cute project!  It's a darling little bag, that has tucks and a hinge type of pop open top.  So cute!  It was lots of fun for everyone to learn to make this project!  We have more hinges coming in and should be here this week so if you want to make more you can get more hinges.  It was so fun for everyone to see their fabrics they chose in their first project!  We had about 40+ in the classroom and 8 students sitting out in the store sewing.  Julie and Lisa moved fixtures and set tables up with power  right outside the classroom door so we were good to go when the door opened.  It was pretty nuts as everyone was finding their spot and their kit and then their companion kit too....

They ordered these ahead.  We have TO MANY IDEAS.  So we listed the ones that were really easy that people could make at home so we introduce a "companion" kit each time for people to order and then make at home.  Then when they come to the next class that kit is cut out of their chosen fabrics. They will have the neatest set by the time summer is over.  So here was the companion that they ordered ahead....it's a little purse organizer.... the black thing is elastic that keeps it shut...
They got a tablet and a calculator in the kit even.  It's a great little project, we had one gal order 9 of them....somebody is going to have some neat gifts!   So if you missed class or if you still want to join in, get signed up, we have extra kits for the cute little pouch so you can still make one even if you didn't pick special fabrics, we'd love to have you join in!  Next tuesday we'll make the pouch again and.....

We just have to many projects!  We made our darling Clutch at a Sew and Go class this spring, we'll people have requested MORE.....so we decided we'd offer to cut these for people out of their fabrics if they like.  I put a cute little extra ruffle on mine, so if you decide you'd like to have our "Project #2" be sure and sign up on a paper and pick your cute little ball hinge and we'll have your kit ready for you next Sew and Go.....
You'll also be able to order this cute little companion kit if you wish.  It'll be ready for you at your next sew and go, it's a cute little coin purse/wallet with a zipper and open pocket that velcros shut.  And the second part is the neat little key chain.  Hmmmmm these both then have D rings or the key ring....I do think by the time summer is over you'll have something really neat that these all might attach to........ohhhhhhh I can't leak to much!  You will love what is coming up tho!!!!!  Can you tell I'm having this black and white thing going....and a splash of red!!!! Sew and Go is the best!

Quilt Camp 2012

Just returned home from another great getaway to the mountains to sew.  We love this place!  We get spoiled rotten with all the food and time to just enjoy friends, laugh and work on projects.  Amy got to go this time with 2 of her friends.  She finished some long awaited projects...her birthday table runner....she's been using it without the binding being finished...now it's done!
I love this group of gals, such inspiration, you'll see by the photo's, so neat to be surrounded by very accomplished quilters.  Here is Denise's applique, all needle turned, she did the setting this weekend, wow it is amazing....
I didn't do great with photo's, just snapping photos of a few things here and there.  This is Donna's, isn't it wonderful, she used all Kaffe fabrics, it was wonderful!
Linda did a couple baby quilts, I didn't get the cute baby girl one, it was darling, here is a boy one, all for babies coming this fall!
Another Denise majestic piece! This one is snowflakes....
Not to many photo's of everyone, but here is Barb...her quilt on the wall, and Sarah, Donna, and Amy 2's back...
Sarah had a couple things going, she did this great string quilt, the yellow was very happy! She gets lots of scraps from everyone so all had fun finding some of their fabrics in this one!
This was a buggy barn Star one Denise was doing...
Here is Denise..... she kept me hopping hearing her fast machine running on my right! I didn't get a good shot of that quilt in the far back left, it was all redwork done by Joann, she was setting that one with the stars...
Amy set her trees, with the help of fabric from Sue!  It's kind of fun, sometimes you don't have what you need and all the sudden it comes out of someone's bag!  There was lots of scrapbooking going on besides sewing, several little bags were made, unplanned, but with everyone sharing all who wanted to got to make them.
Here is Joann, she kept me smiling! you can see Donna, Amy 2 and Corina in the background...
See what I mean by being surrounded by accomplished inspiration!  This is Sue's halloween, all needle turned applique and the beautiful piecing....ahhhhhh! This group has an amazing group of talent....
Yep Sue kept me smiling on the other side of my table!  I won't post much of what I was working on, you'll see it along the way.... Sue even made 2 bags....she's going to the other side!  The most accomplished piecer you could find, we try and get her to do simple things...that's her little clutch bag on the table drying!
Linda was near me, getting lots done!  We sewed, went for a few little walks, laughed talked, slept little, ate lots, we'd be happy sewing and all the sudden Carol our hostess is telling us it's time for food again....all wonderful home made Delicious food!
Barb and I took a bit of time this morning to shoot a few photo's for our patterns, just time to update a few and what better place than the woods with all the neat textures!  This is our little bag pattern and all had fun making it....
Hey I finished up my Bigger than the Kitchen sink bag!  Our pattern that I LOVE!  This bag has my acrylic table safely stowed in it for travel and then all around it are projects !  It's big enough for your 18x24" mat.  We'll update that photo on the pattern now...
I did get a photo of Carol our hostess....she always gets to show us some of her things, she just finished this flag quilt, it was great! Carol likes to come out and sew with us between all her cooking and hostessing, we are her easy group so now that we've been coming for so many years and have had dates on her totally booked calendar for 3 years in advance she just blocks us out time, kind of neat since most can't even get in!
My new Martinique bag we just taught last week at ETC.  Time to print more patterns so maybe a new photo on the front!  Carol has a little store at her camp so now wants patterns for it, need to unpack and get more taken of things we are writing! Some will be available soon on PDF for purchase and then they are at ETC now once we get them all restocked! What a great weekend, always over to fast, only seemed to work on about 1/4 of what I took but it eventually gets it's turn to come out and play!  So Quilt camp is over, sure was fun to escape and enjoy!

Happy Birthday Noah James

Our little Noah turns 1 year old today, can you believe it!  I wish I was there celebrating with you Noah!
Every time I see you and hear what you are doing you remind me so much of your Daddy.....here he is more like at 2 years old, but still seeing that resemblance! See that little round chunky stuff does melt away! Wait until you start running around chasing Aileron!
A favorite photo sent to me of you 2 guys!
Noah I hope you have a wonderful birthday and know that you are loved!
