Sew and Go Tomorrow

Barb and I finished up a couple more samples of what some of the kits are for Sew and
Go Tomorrow. She made this one and...
I got this one done, just love this one! So we have lots of kits for the choosing, they now all have their spool of thread in them and we are ready for the fun tomorrow! Lots of fun colors too, so come to Scrapbooks etc. and join us! If you can't make this one be sure and catch the same project next tuesday when we do a repeat! I think for the cost I'd have to come make a matching one next week so I'd have 2!

Buggy Barn class at Scrapbooks Etc.

Barb and I taught the 2nd half of the buggy barn Christmas stocking class. We have such cute quilts in the making!
At's so fun to see each of the fabric stacks start to develop into something wonderful!

Everyone left with at least one block done, some had 2, and most were onto the rest of the pieces getting them all sewn up, buggy barn style is so much fun.

Out of the 7 students we only had one turkey quilt get started. I know It's on my list of fun ones to make. I hope everyone brings theirs back in when they get them all done!

Sew and Go

Here's a sneak peek at our Sew and Go project coming up the 3rd and 4th tuesdays at Scrapbooks. You'll be learning this pieced pillow, remember those pretty fabrics I showed you a couple weeks back, each set will make such pretty pillows. I tried this one out to match some of the fabrics in my bedroom. I have a couple more cut out to make as a set for a wedding gift, all in black and whites ( remember that black and white quilt I quilted up a few weeks ago...it's for that bride ! shhhhh!)You'll be learning this awesome way to make a zippered back, all hidden and nice but very easy to take apart and launder. And yep you'll get the 16 inch pillow form too! What a deal for $18 ( that is all it costs...your kit and Barb and I !) and what neat items for your home or gifts. Don't forget you can come the 3rd tuesday or the 4th tuesday or both, and make a different one each time! You can sign up on line too, see you there!

Block challenge

I finished this months challenge applique block while in Mississippi. Here and there while Noah was busy I got a bit of stitching in. I substituted this block of another one in the book that I thought wasn't very pretty so I jumped out there with something different. This one came from a Kim Diel pattern. I think it will be pretty with the other blocks and I like it alot better than the swirl one we were supposed to do from the book. One more done.

Mississippi Fun

So here I am in Mississippi, I'll post some random shots so you can see what we did on our first day... Jamie and Jeremy went to work and Noah and I had fun together! Jamie came home by 1:00 and we had a nice relaxing afternoon...We picked fresh peppers from the garden for dinner...

We read alot of books...I got to give him a bath! He loves his bath!
Here's a photo so you can see how HUGE Noah is! He must be around 16 lbs, that is a guess but he's a big healthy little guy...
He's just a very good baby, easy to read and always bright eyed! Easy to make smile and giggles lots. He's found his fists so loves smacking around on them.

Noah in his swing we got him, Daddy is having just as much fun!Last night we went for a great walk at a lake near their house, a beautiful park, setting... love that stroller!
Mommy and Noah...
Can you tell I'm having a blast with sweet little Noah!
