Chris and MB and Bode are home!
We got to be the airport pick up crew for getting Chris and MB and Bode home from their vacation. It was so great to see them, all tanned from hanging out at the beach. They sure put on alot of miles and saw alot of people. Bode was such a good traveler! He learned to say ah oh while they were gone, so we had something new to hear. He's sure getting brave with the standing alone and letting go, I give him another 2 weeks and he's going to be toddling around. Watch out Bode is on his way!

St. Patrick's Day
We had fun going to Chris and MB's for their traditional St. Patrick's dinner with MB's family. It's so nice they always include us. We got there with Bode in his cute bib of My first St. Patrick's day! Great food and it was great seeing all of MB"s family with her folks here for Kim's graduation from Nursing school. It was just beautiful out that evening so we sat out in their back yard and enjoyed dinner and visiting with everyone.

Wonderful Dinner!
Chris and MB have a wonderful Christmas tradition of inviting us over after Christmas along with her parents and they make a wonderful home made meal for the 6 of us to enjoy! Of coures we were all enjoying Bode . MB's parents have had some good time catching up with him since they live so far away. And what did he get for Christmas but his first tooth! It was fun to get to see what Santa had brought to Bode, have a great meal and enjoy each other.
MB and Marie had been cooking all day and made this wonderful Lasagna, homemade foccacia bread and spinach salad.
Here is Chris serving it up, Bode's looking like he'd like to dig in!
Here are Steve and Marie,it was a very nice dinner to be a part of and share with them all.

Sleep Over !
Bode and MB had a sleep over with us this week ! Chris was gone to a show and MB had tickets for a concert so since Bode was staying the evening with us they just spent the night. What fun to have them and hear all the fun baby sounds the next morning ! MB got to go back to bed for a bit while Bode and I played in the morning and then we went for a walk at the Riparian Preserve. I'm not sure if Bode liked it, he slept thru it !
We joined my friends Ellen and Esther for lunch, we were going to Liberty Market for wonderful food but they were closed so we walked across the street to Joe's BBQ. We love Joe's, but when you were really wanting the "lady" sort of lunch at Liberty we were all disappointed ! Ellen and Esther loved meeting MB and seeing Bode ! See his little "crock" shoe on the table, It's about 3 inches long ! He was all dressed up in his blue jeans and belt !
That's Ellen on the left and Esther in the middle. We sure used to have fun working together ! Lots of fun memories come up ! MB and Bode and I went shopping a bit before coming home then to make some soup and salad for dinner, they went on home then for his bath and bedtime.
And here is the cutie of the day ! Bode you melt your Grammy's heart !

Baby dishes
I got out a few little gems today to give to Mary Beth, she's so close to having their first baby that she needed to have a couple treasures that were Chris's when he was a baby. His first bowl and spoon, both engraved with his name and initials. Aunt Marcy gave these to him for his baptism and we used them daily ! And I've used them with all 3 grandboys so now it's time for them to go live in MB's kitchen, I hope she loves using them too, just the right size for those first little bites of cereal !
Here is Chris when he was 2 and Amy in the stroller.
I gave her his feeding spoons and his silver cup. Sweet memories !

Happy Anniversary Chris and MB !
We had such a nice leisurely breakfast outdoors with Chris and MB on Sunday at Joes' farm Grill coffee shop. It's just beautiful there now with everything so green and the flowers were amazing. Loved this little arbor, does anyone know what that is growing over the top?

Here is a close up of the bloom.

Pretty snapdragons...

And a rose garden...

It was great to get to spend some time with the newly weds of 2 years now ! Happy Anniversary Chris and MB !!!!

St. Patricks Day Celebration
Marybeth invited us over on St. Patricks day to celebrate with their family in their traditional Irish meal. Here is part of the Axman family, their Grandma from New York is here for a few weeks.
This is Melissa, she made a guiness chocolate cake, yum.

Steve carving the corned beef... he only gets to stay this week and enjoy family, next week back to recruiting for Idaho football.
MB with her wonderful steamed vegetables...cabbage, carrots and apples. She used all her Mom's recipes and made Irish soda bread and mashed potatoes.
That was my first real traditional Irish meal, even had the red Irish beer to go along with it ! Thanks for including us MB and Chris. I was wondering tho what the Irish celebrate on St. Patricks day. Denise said she grew up being told it was when St. Patrick chased all the snakes out of Ireland.....does anyone know what the celebration is ???
