New coffee !!!!!

I made the jump and got myself a new coffee pot. I've been eyeing these for months and have used several friends who love them, so I finally did it! I had a gift card from my students at Scrapbooks that paid for it so the guilt was a bit less. I've been saving it since Sept. and finally decided to spend it all on this! So thanks to all my students for a fun new kitchen appliance!
It's so perfect for making a single cup of anything, that was of course the seller for me, you can make hot chocolate, teas, apple cider, and of course any kind of flavor of coffee you want. It's been fun already for Ken and I and then whoever comes by wanting something warm to drink.

Ficus Tree

We have one ficus tree left in our yard and it got hit by the extreme frost we had this winter. this is the second time we've had to cut it back from severe frost and we were surprised it has come back. We lost the one on the side of the house the last time and Jeremy cut it down for us when he was home last time. We finally had it trimmed up this week...It looks much better so hope it can take the summer and grow strong again! We'd have really missed that tree, it makes great shade for our home and is so pretty outside my bedroom window...besides being the favored tree for climbing by 3 little grandsons!

Down comes a tree

Jeremy did a big job for us while he was here, we had lost a big Ficus tree this year. It had been hit be frost 3 years ago, but seemed to come back, then this last year we had a bit of cold early and it dropped all it's green leaves and that was it. So Jeremy went and bought a chain saw and down it came.

Aiden and Ethan watching from the door as limb by limb came down.

Garrett just stuck right in there the whole time helping to haul the wood into a stack as they cut it up.

Time to try and dig out the stump
Ethan liked the digging part too!
And he even got the stump out, whew! Thanks so much Jeremy, that was alot of work!
