Time with Noah!

Noah and I had a great little visit today. Of course he was in Mississippi but thankyou to FACE TIME we had fun anyway! He was out in Jeremy's shop jumping in his little jumper and having the best time, squealing and jumping and watching his Daddy go by, then he'd look at me on the screen and back to jumping and squealing. We probably did this for an hour and it was so much fun. You can see me in the upper right corner on the phone screen taking the picture! It's not as good as being there but I love getting my little "fix" every few days with the help of technology!

I'm Coming to see you Noah!

Just in case you haven't heard I'm off to see this cute little bundle of joy for 5 days....
Jamie and Jeremy send me the best pictures of this cute little guy....
But there is nothing like being there in person.....

Hi Grammy!

Every few days I get one of these on my phone.... a little note from Noah that says Hi Grammy! How fun is that, doesn't make up for not getting to snuggle with him, but our skype sessions help as they hold him close to the screen so I can see all the rolls and yawns. The other Day Jamie and I were chatting and I think he noticed the screen finally....right now he's in to fans and lights and dark things on the wall! Noah you are soooo cute I love my daily little photo's!

Baby catch up!

For those of you always watching what is going on here, I have to catch you up on 2 new pictures I got text to me in the last 2 days! Here is our little Bode at the beach in North Carolina! Hurry home soon Bode! I know you are having fun! Chris said he's amazed how different the Atlantic ocean is, no waves.and here is our little Noah at 3 weeks, isn't he getting some great chunk on him! So cute!

Home to Arizona

Well we had to leave little Noah in Mississippi with his Mommy and Daddy...they weren't to keen on us taking him with us! He'll be happiest tho with his Mommy and Daddy who I can tell will be doing a wonderful job as parents! It's so much fun to watch your children fall in love with their babies! I'm going to hate this long distance grandparenting, but phone photo's and skype will get us thru! We drove ourselves back to Birmingham and left Jeremy's truck at the airport for Jamie's folks to get off their plane and drive it back to Columbus! Didn't that work out! The best part was we got to see them at the airport, we thought we'd miss each other but the plane they arrived on was the one Ken was getting on for his trek home and mine was leaving 1/2 hour later! So it was fun to see Bruce and Vicki at the airport as they were on their way to meet their first grandson! At the other end Ken and I had 3 smiling little boys, running down the corridor with arms out, makes you feel so good! Amy brought the boys to pick us up. After dinner with them on the way home, it was good to be home, tired, things felt hot in Az but it really wasn't that bad, clothes felt damp coming out of the suitcase, isn't it funny the change in climates! We hit the ground running and get to celebrate our Bode's first birthday this weekend too. Can you believe it 5 little Grandsons! We have our BASKETBALL TEAM! They make my heart smile!

Noah's quilt

I got little Noah's quilt done wihle here in Mississippi. I was still stitching binding down, but he got it in time to take along for his pictures this week. Some of the squares and the airplane bodies are soft and fuzzy to touch.

Noah pictures

Here are a couple new Noah pictures for all of you that wish you were here! This little one is such a champ, amazing what a good baby he is, and he's just falling into a neat little for the 3 of them. Here he is sitting out side with Mommy.And here are he and his Daddy after his little sponge bath.... he loved it. Noah everyone is having so much fun with you!

Time with Noah

So here is the little darling that is keeping us busy in Mississippi! We were so happy to get here and meet our newest little Grandson. All is well and the drive in from Birmingham showed us some of the awful distruction thru Tuscaloosa. We've been very busy now that the little family is home with helping with household chores, cooking, projects, picking fresh beans in the garden and having a great time together, everyone gets busy but every little bit comes in to see what Noah is doing!

Here is Jeremy with his first born Noah James....If only this little one realized what fun they were going to have together, playing, building things, blowing things up, shooting things, digging outside, finding projects to fix, basically always being busy and flying around the world!

Here's the new little family as they are just about ready to leave the hospital.
Jamie is just a natural at being Mommy! She's just doing great with this major life change!Here is little Noah today, he's all wrapped up in his new "jet" blankie. What a good baby, I can always tell when he's getting his diaper changed, the only time you hear a cry! Very content little guy, not many new parents on their first night home have to wake them every 3 hours to eat!

So the guys are out building something and making noise in Jeremy's shop, Jamie has escaped to go do some couponing and I'M BABY SITTING!!! We're going to do some grilling out tonight and putter in the garden and for now Noah and I are having a blast so that's what going on in Mississippi!

Noah has arrived!

For all of you waiting to hear, Noah arrived today June 2, 2011! He decided to enter the world around noon time and all are doing wonderfully. The text messages were flying from 5 AM on with everyone so excited that he was coming! we were all going nuts with more texts of have you heard anything.....then the long awaited photo's arrived! It was wonderful to receive a new one all afternoon here and there! Can you believe how wonderful technology is for times like this! Ken and I were nervous and antsy and couldn't focus on a thing, finally after eating some lunch and getting to talk to Jeremy as he watched Noah in the nursery getting all good things done we could settle in to what needed doing today. We even got to skype with them this evening for a bit, they've had tons of company all day which is so wonderful and Jeremy propped us up on a shelf to enjoy it all! Hearing those little baby sounds and the wonderful chatter of their friends. How fun was that! So we leave before the crack of dawn tomorrow for a wonderful week with them. I'll post some photo's along the way. So for now, meet our darling little 5th Grandson, Noah.....our precious gift from God!

A play quilt for Noah

Here's the next quilt I finished up for Noah. It's a play quilt, great one for dragging around, leaving in the car, taking to the park etc. I found this great airplane fabric at work one day so of course I had to use it. The rest was all from fabric I had so it was fun to use alot of brights with it.
Won't be long when Noah arrives and he can have fun rolling around on the floor on his airplane quilt!
