We had our thursday club Christmas party this week and we actually had it on Thursday! How about that! Ann hosted us and it felt just magical in her pretty home she has now. Here are Mindy and Kathy and Judy as we enjoyed our appetizers.

Look at this cute snack that Cindy made. She made a snack mix with the white chocolate poured over it but the cute santa hats are actually bugles that they dipped in the red dipping candy. Aren't they cute!

We all brought things for dinner, white chili in bread bowls and a salad. Our dessert was so pretty warm gingerbread ( all cute and cut round) with a carmel sauce and whip cream!

And here is our hostess Ann, sure was a fun get together to catch up with everyone's lives and wish them all a happy holiday!

Thursday club birthdays

I got together with my Thursday club last week and we were celebrating mine and Ann's birthdays at Judy's home, we walk up to the door and look how cute the sign was! She's got the cutest ideas and fun things to make a house a home!Had to take a picture of these, Mindy made these cute things and were they ever good! They looked like little acorns...use your imagination! They tasted really yummy besides being so cute!
Here is Judy, she made a panini bar for us, we each made our sandwiches and put whatever delightful things she had out for us to choose from and then we grilled them, tomatoe soup, a salad, yum!

Look at this wonderful dessert, Cindy did this, and how pretty it was! But here's the secret recipe. It's one of those yummy HUGE chocolate cakes from costco. She put a dab of frosting on twix bars to stick to the outside of it, tied the ribbon around and piled fresh raspberries on top. What a pretty presentation and how fast! That's the secret recipe!

And here's the cute thing we made that night. Judy had kits all ready for us and we painted and glued and tied and added glittery stuff, so cute, now we have something fun ready to go up for the holidays!

Thursday club birthday's

I got to meet up with my "thursday club" this last week to celebrate Kathy's birthday. Mindy hosted us at her house and we had such fun talking and catching up from the summer. We had a great dinner we all brought part of, then we made a fun little project. I won't show you that as I have more to make for gifts to give!!!! going around the table L-R are Cindy, Ann, Judy, Kathy, me, and Mindy. It sure was fun spending the evening with these friends!

Thursday club birthday's

I got together with my "Thursday club" to celebrate Mindy and Cindy's birthdays this week. Judy hosted us and it was so cute, they have this cute chalk board by the front door that they all write little notes or sayings for the day on and here we got there and it was a fun birthday greeting!
Judy had a pretty spring table set for us and we had a wonderful dinner of shish kabobs, rice, asparagus, fruit and a tossed salad.
We decided we wanted a good old fashioned "thursday club" kind of evening so we even planned a "craft" to do. Stephanie, Judy's daughter got us all fixed up and we had a great time, here are Cindy and Ann working hard on their flowers...

Not only was it a fun evening with friends we each came home with this fun photo holder for our homes, so cute with the door handle on the top.

Thursday Club

I met my Thursday club friends for dinner this week at Olive Garden to celebrate Judy's birthday. She has a Christmas eve birthday so we tend to wait until after the holidays to celebrate and catch up from the last month! Sometimes it's amazing we can find an evening that works for 6 different people together! And nope we didn't meet Thursday, it was Wednesday which seems to mess all of our spouses up!(thursday club on wed.?) But when you've met these friends for years (30+) on Thursday, it just has stuck! In fact we had such a good laugh as Judy's girls all have decided they are going to start a Thursday club! We all laughed and wondered if they'd have a "can"? As young mom's we all struggled with Christmas money so we had a "can" that we all put $5 a week into as our "dues" and over the year that would help pay for Christmas. We'd get our money back at our Christmas party and have it for shopping. Sometimes people had to borrow out of the can in dire emergencies but it's fun to know we could do that. ( a bit of history, HA!) So Mindy has the next birthday (and she'll finally be as old as me) so we'll see everyone in April again and have fun catching up on our lives, or we might make up an occasion before then to meet for dinner and enjoy each other again.
