Grammy Fix !

I was so lucky today. I got to go help at the new little families house ! Bode and I got to hang out for 2 hours this morning, he was awake for part of it so it was fun to see him look at you and we sang alot of songs and just had a great time. Then he got tired and so had a nap in my arms ! Mommy MB had some time then to rebond with her house and I could tell it felt so good for her to feel good enough to pick up, start laundry, get a shower, she made amazing use of those 2 hours! Time for him to eat again so we got him started and I ducked out ! Thanks Bode for all the fun !I got home and got out his little bed ( Emma get off there !) We just got our car seat base put in the car so Bode we are ready for you to come play any time !!!!!

Peach Butter

It worked ! I tried the same recipe that I did with the apricots to make apricot butter, only with peaches. I didn't even peel them, just washed, pitted and put them in the blender. It's been cooking all day on high in the crock pot.....And it worked ! We now have Peach Butter !

Little Dude

Bode is one week old today ..... Chris took this, doesn't he look like such a little dude !

Chris just sent me these photos so I had to share since they made me smile ! Look at that little bottom lip while he's getting his foot print, gosh do you suppose we'll be seeing that again.....probably when he's about 2 ! And here he is ready to go home....cute isn't he ! It's so fun to be the Grandparent cuz I can say he's cute !!!!

Bode's quilt

Bode got another drag around quilt this week. This is actually sort of the back that I pieced.I wanted him to have a soft little comfy quilt so got Moda's "softee" for the one side and then pieced the other. Put flannel in between so it wouldn't get to heavy. Did a big stipple on it to quilt it together so it'll be a fun one to lay him on since it's so soft.

Happy 4th of July everyone !

Hope everyone is having a fun relaxing 4th of July holiday ! Ken and I were asked over to Chris and MB's to help last evening on their "going home day" It was fun to relax with them and help them out a bit, the guys took a run to the store so MB and I enjoyed some quiet restful time on the couch with Baby Bode. It was so fun for me, we got Bode fed, MB tucked into bed, Bode tucked into bed and they were off on their first night home as parents !

This morning they wanted us to return so we grabbed a bucket of bagels and coffees and showed up as Ken's dad Gene was there for his first meeting of his Great Grandson. He brought his baseball mit in case Bode wanted to play !
Here are 4 generations of Schulds, Great Grandpa Eugene, Grandpa Kenneth Eugene, Daddy Chris and Little Bode Eugene. How cool is that !
I think Gene thought his little namesake was pretty cool !
So Chris and MB escaped to go to her family's 4th of July pancake breakfast and we got the honor of staying home with the little guy for an hour ! He was a very good boy ! We didn't have time to play in the mud but we sure did have fun !!! Hot dogs are cookin so hope you all are having some sort of fun today ! I'll try and load a movie next that I took.

UGH !!!!

It's not that I don't want to do my public duty but UGH UGH UGH !!!!!! I really didn't want to see this in my mailbox today ! And of course it's Superior court in Downtown Phx. I never get chosen for Mesa or Gilbert, it's always Superior court I get to drive to. So what to do, do you postpone? Do you just bite the bullet and do it? Maybe I'll call and they won't need me.... if I do postpone will it be at a worse time? But at least it could be at a time when it's not 110 waiting in traffic or waiting for the light rail.... It will mean some interesting job issues of being the first 2 weeks of a new job, classes to teach already on the schedule. Hmmmmm can you tell my brain is stewing !!!! Does anyone want to be me for the day, maybe I could turn in someone that has no job that would love to do it???? UGH UGH UGH!!!!

Yep, you get to see more pictures of Bode today !!!! Here's the cute little sign in his bed the nurses made him, they call him their snuggle bug cuz he loves to be cuddled ! I think the nurses get attached to these Csection babies ! He even got 2 hand made hats from them ! So Daddy Chris has the swaddling down to a science ! We met him for lunch again as he zoomed home to shower and had such a neat relaxing visit then at the hospital! Did you know that every little grandson born is just as exciting as the first !!!!
I know this is blurry but see that thing on Bode's left ankle, it's his baby lojack ! Amazing what they do now !

Garrett's 4th Birthday Party

Baby Bode

Here is day #2 of little Baby Bode. Got a snap of him and his Daddy. We only had a fast visit today but still worth it ! Chris came dashing home for a shower and more clothes and to feed the cats so we met him for lunch and yep he said Bode is "way more cool" than he thought he'd be ! I think they are keepin him ! Isn't this a cute little profile ! I did hear his cute little cry, he was unswaddled and within seconds of getting all wrapped up from being changed he was sound asleep ! Sweet Dreams little Bode !

Day 1 with Bode !!!!

Ken and I enjoyed a short visit with our littlest Grandson today !!!! He's sooooo cute ! Grammy is in love !!!! He slept the whole time tho and didn't seem interested in my conversation about Lincoln logs and play dough ! Here's the little card on his bed, all the important details !
I left work early so we could enjoy him in the afternoon, what a great excuse for leaving work early ! Here is Grammy and Bode ! my newest little buddy !

Papa and Bode

The new little family surviving on just enough sleep on one hand over the last 48 hours to make it ! Just 20 hours after birth and surgery they are lookin good ! Mommy MB is happy to be getting tubes pulled out today and Daddy Chris is just taking care of it all ! And Bode, well Bode is just thinking this might be a pretty nice family !
