Garrett shopping date

Garrett and I had a date this week. Lucky me got to pick him up from his other preschool and we went to lunch....his choice....Pizza! We went to do his Christmas shopping then and he picked out all sorts of things for his family and even a couple other special little people! The dollar store is just the best! He paid his money and then we went to do something else fun! Off to the biggest candy store around! What fun, he'd never been and every aisle we looked at he saw excitement! He picked out something special to get just for him ( which was some kind of spray candy....I'd never seen it before but it was total excitement to him!) Then we picked out something fun to take home to share with his brothers and then some fun christmas candies to make treat bags for zoo lights. We came back to our house after that and he did his wrapping, and went home with a fun bag of gifts to put under their tree. We went home then with a detour past our local little ice cream shop, what a fun afternoon with Garrett!

Halloween parade!

Lucky me got to go to a Halloween Parade this week! What fun was that to see all these cute kido's dressed up for halloween. They did a parade around the yard. Here is Ethan as Spiderman!Here comes Garrett with Ms. Amy ( otherwise known as Mommy!) The huge group of parents and grandparents are all standing in the driveway and yard by me and they came out the front door to the halloween music.
They stood here and sang 5 songs, so cute! This was the first performance for alot of these kids, 3 years old up to 5. They had their artwork from the days before up on the background with their names so several parents were taking pictures of that. So cute ! They have their witches hats on here for one song.
The best part was when Amy opened the door to make sure everything was ready and there stood Ethan with this cute grin of recognition and yelled up at Ms. Amy....Mommy , Grammy is here! Ahhhhh!

Preschool Open House

Ken and I got to go to the Little Love Bug Preschool open house last night. With my daughter Amy as teacher ( Ethan informed me on our date that his Mommy is Miss Amy) and 2 little boys attending they decided Chris would "attend"open house with Ethan and we'd come down to "attend" with Garrett. They got to do a treasure hunt all over finding the preschool room, bathrooms, job charts, names on their circle time shapes, sand box etc. At the end they got their photo taken for their job chart and had a cookie. So Garrett and I did the hunt, he and Ethan were out playing in the yard with the kids so I snapped this one before we left. Amy will have her hands full with 12 little smiling faces 3 days a week. 2 tables full of happiness each time.

Happy Birthday Garrett!

My little Buddy Garrett is turning 5 today. Can you believe it. I went back looking at some favorite photo's of Garrett and it was so hard to choose, and since you see photo's of him "now" here are a few from a couple years ago. What a darling child you are Garrett, I can't believe you are going to be 5.Alot of these were taken when we had Garrett and Grammy days. So many fun memories!We celebrate YOU tomorrow Garrett and will love coming to your birthday party!

My Date with Garrett!

I had such a fun time on my date with Garrett. When I picked him up he's was ready...cologne on...and he knew right what he wanted to do! Off to the lego store, he picked this firetruck and then we went off to Build a Bear....He brought along his "build a bear" bear so we went in search of an outfit for him. We had a great coupon they send out for your birthday so since it's his birthday week we had to go do something extra special. So he went right to this DARTH VADAR costume and got it. He was so definite on what he decided and chose right away, no thinking about it for to long! So we even got to dress the bear there. Next we went to his choice for lunch...Someburros....he wanted a bean burrito! Then he told me....Now Grammy we are going swimming..... I really wasn't planning for that, but home we went and we got in 1/2 hour of swimming time with just he and I and he had a blast! Time to go home, so we had a McDonalds ice cream cone in the car on the way home. What a big day and so much fun. I was so lucky to go on a date with Garrett!

Preschool Graduation

Lucky us got to attend Garretts preschool graduation today! The children did fantastic and so did Amy! Nice turnout of parents too and of course at the end what the kids really wanted were the donuts, gummy worms and drink boxes! Here is Garrett. He'll still go to preschool again next year.... they graduate every year! Here is the graduate with Mommy and Daddy and Ethan.
And with Ken and I. They sang such cute songs and had such a fun time performing for us.
I tried to get a video of how cute the little voices all were. As it starts notice in the bottom right hand corner right away, there is Ethan sitting in a chair next to Ms. Amy and he's doing all the motions of the songs with the kids. He's ready for preschool next year!

Garrett and I had a date!

Garrett and I had a date this last week! He and I got to spend some time together, first we went to do his christmas shopping at the dollar store! He was so cute, he had $5 in his wallet. So we went down a few aisles and he picked things for his family. He started with Aiden and then got Ethan, then we went and got his Daddy something and then he picked out something special for his Mommy. I'm sure they will love it all! Here we are already back at the car.
Then we went to Somburros for lunch. 2 kids meals with bean burros comin right up!
Our next stop was a treat for him. Build a bear. He picked a bunny and named him C C.
A quick play on the toys at the mall and then we walked by Santa to take a peek and Santa wasn't busy with anyone so he looked right at Garrett and waved. wow! He didn't want to go visit with him so off we went to come home.....
And he wrapped all his presents to take home. It sure was a fun date Garrett. He did have a bit of time to get to play with Uncle Jeremy's batman set, Garretts such a fun little guy, you could just have him around all the time!

Garrett's Christmas program

Lucky me got to go to Garretts preschool Christmas program this week. It was soooo cute! They sang several songs and I think this class just outsang any class in the past! They had a couple "prop" changes even with these cute reindeer hats they made.
And cute Santa hats too, aren't they all fun and cute! 9 little voices ( one little one was missing and out sick) all singing so hard. So many parents came and several sets of grandparents. What a great turn out to enjoy the children.
Amy does such a great job with them, they have so much fun going to Little love Bug preschool!

Little Boy Friday

We got to enjoy Ethan and Garrett this week for a morning. Amy and I had it planned to meet at the mall and boy it didn't take much for Ken to decide that was going to be alot more fun then paper work so he joined us. Here is what we saw in the parking lot when we drove up. See Ethan with his back pack on ! He's 2 now you know, so such a big boy !

We did ride the escaltor several times before Amy left, up and down and up and down !

Amy went on to run her errands so we all had fun on the mall toys...
And then a carousel ride !
At this point it was getting lunch time so Garrett voted for Chick fil a so we went to the one down the road that had toys.
Course Ethan didn't make it without falling asleep, so Papa got him in without waking up, he was beat from all the fun at the mall !
So Papa had his lunch with a sleeping little guy on his lap.

What a fun morning for us all !

Little boys and a hot day !

Ken went and picked up Aiden and Garrett yesterday and took them to the golf course. First time for Garrett to take his little clubs out. They had a cart and they hit balls on the driving range and then played 3 holes. That was alot when you are just 4 and 6 and it was of course HOT outside ! They came home then and we all jumped in the pool and cooled off, then we thought we ought to go get Bahama Bucks ! Yum, shaved ice with flavors ! Here is Garrett....

And Aiden, course they both liked my red raspberry the best so we just shared !

And here is Ken's, ohhhh he got the cream too !

And then it was time to go home, so what happens when you've had that much fun out in the sun................both feel asleep on the way home. I think they had a fun afternoon !

Garrett's Quilt

Garrett needed a quilt for his twin bed so I whipped this one up for his birthday. Lost of scraps but it should be fun for a 4 year old to sleep under !I quilted little cars into it...
It was lots of fun to make this one for you Garrett !

Birthday lunch with Garrett

What fun I had to get to take Garrett on an early birthday lunch to celebrate turning 4 ! Amy and Ethan and Garrett met me at the "chosen" place......Chick fil a ! Fun eats and play on the toys and then we needed some ice cream to top it off , so swirl it saw us too ! Nice break in the day for me to see such sweet smiling faces ! And a birthday boy besides ! I hope you have fun being 4 Garrett !

Today is Garrett's birthday ! I can't believe one of my favorite little guys is now 4 !Here he is showing me his 4 fingers ! You will have so much fun being 4 now Garrett ! Grammy loves her Garrett !

It actually was a cool cloudy day for July in AZ but everyone had fun getting wet !
