Sleep Over !

Bode and MB had a sleep over with us this week ! Chris was gone to a show and MB had tickets for a concert so since Bode was staying the evening with us they just spent the night. What fun to have them and hear all the fun baby sounds the next morning ! MB got to go back to bed for a bit while Bode and I played in the morning and then we went for a walk at the Riparian Preserve. I'm not sure if Bode liked it, he slept thru it !We joined my friends Ellen and Esther for lunch, we were going to Liberty Market for wonderful food but they were closed so we walked across the street to Joe's BBQ. We love Joe's, but when you were really wanting the "lady" sort of lunch at Liberty we were all disappointed ! Ellen and Esther loved meeting MB and seeing Bode ! See his little "crock" shoe on the table, It's about 3 inches long ! He was all dressed up in his blue jeans and belt !
That's Ellen on the left and Esther in the middle. We sure used to have fun working together ! Lots of fun memories come up ! MB and Bode and I went shopping a bit before coming home then to make some soup and salad for dinner, they went on home then for his bath and bedtime.
And here is the cutie of the day ! Bode you melt your Grammy's heart !

Market Bag Class

We had our Market Bag Class today at Scrapbooks Etc. for 6 students. It took a tad bit longer than we had planned but most left with their bag just about finished ! Isn't this one cute, she had to leave early so didn't get her bow on.Tash's bag was very elegant and will be perfect for winter time.
This was Marsha's she had a good time and came from Colorado so had fun making her bag while she's here.
And Yeah Susan's is done ! Lots of fun to see everyone's bag done.

Market Bag Class

Here's another sample for my class tomorrow. It's the Market Bag, a pattern by Heather Bailey. The cute orange one is hanging down at Scrapbooks Etc. I whipped this one up the other night for another idea sample. It's going to be fun to see what fabrics everyone makes theirs out of ! Cute huh ! Class is tomorrow (Wed.) from 10:30-1:30, come join us !

A fun morning at the Zoo

We had a fun morning ! We met everyone for a bagel, Garrett and Aiden had on their Lion shirts and away we went then to the zoo !

Here is cute little Ethan with his cream cheese mustache ! And look at Bode checking out his cousin !
This was Bode's first visit to the zoo, he slept, enjoyed all the bright things passing by, he's really tracking things far away and watching them go by. He loved laying in the stroller. Here is Daddy and Bode with their hats on !

What fun we did have, checking out a few animals, we did see the new Koala Bear Exhibit, first time I think I've seen Koala bears, they are so fat and fluffy !

This peacock just posed for me while everyone went into the spider monkeys, Bode and I stayed out to finish his nap up in the stroller and here comes this peacock !

We had a great picnic, my picnic quilt was so glad summer is gone so it can come out more often !
What a fun time at the zoo ! We'll be back !

Little Boys

We had the little boys over this week for a playtime since it's fall break. It was nice enough outside when they came in the morning to get to ride bikes and Papa was here so there was lots of ball throwing onto the roof and then catching it. Everyone got to make their own pizza's for lunch so Ethan was right there making his ! yummmm pineapple and ham ! They had played so hard outside so we had a little rest in front of the TV and everyone seemed to have their own couch/chair so Ethan moves a big recliner in front of the TV all by himself so he's got a great view and then....
of course falls alseep, it was so cute, so he had a nap and then when he woke up,
they had a snack dipping apples into carmel and banana bread along with Scooby Do! Boy how old is Scooby Do ! We had a fun day !

A Bode evening

We got to play with Bode one evening this week so MB and Chris could enjoy a movie and dinner out. He's getting so big and wanting to stand up on his little legs, can't believe it's time for that !
He was so cute and we had such fun !
Then it was time for bed so away he went to his crib, sweet dreams little Bode !

Christmas Row Quilt

I had a huge week of teaching this week, we had our Sew and Go with 28, which I blogged about, now everyone is "anticipating" the next one, they all know it's a cute bag so the "buzz" is on with who is coming ! Then I had my "in Stitches" class and taught the framed piece" Mom's who laugh Teach Joy", 3 signed up but only 2 showed up but we had a nice 2 hours of stitching and at the end I showed them how to cover a mat with fabric. Today we finished up our Christmas Row quilt. Barb and I had 4 students, but only 3 came and they all did so good learning new techniques today. They had all the other rows done from last friday so today was paper piecing the house row and raw edge Appliqué of the snowman row. Here is Kathy with her paper pieced Barn.
And Nancy got alot done on hers.
Penny missed last week but was going great guns on her paper piecing. I didn't take any pictures of the cute snowman as they built them, they are going to have such cute quilts when done. Everyone has lots to do on theirs, but they left with pretty good knowledge on how to finish and they know where to find us if they need help !!!!

Calendar quilts

Here is my finished calendar quilt for August...yep kinda behind, or maybe I'm done ahead for next year ! Judy and I got together to make Octobers and skipped Sept. since it was past, oh well, we'll catch that one at the end ! This one will be cute for summer time with the bees.So I guess since I missed August I"ll hang it away for next year, every one of these patterns is so cute. The Oct. one is a big pumpkin so when I have it done I"ll post a picture, or come and see me and maybe it'll be up outside by my front door !

MB's birthday

We celebrated MB's birthday this week. Chris and she had us all over for Pizza.Her dad was here recruiting for Idaho football so he got to join in the fun, so here is Papa Ax with Bode who he hasn't seen since he was a week old. How neat was that for him to be here !
Here is Chris, he ran to get us wonderful pizza from Oregano's YUM !
And here are the kids all having a picnic, they had fun with MB's other nieces and nephews too., there is Beans off to the side, that kitty doesn't miss out on much ! Ours would be in the closet !
So Mary Beth I hope you had a wonderful birthday ! Oh and that chocolate cake was to die for !

Thursday Club

Thursday club got together last night and enjoyed a great evening out at Joe's farm grill , Thursday club meeting on Wed. night, Ken just can't keep it straight !! They all treated Ann and I to a great dinner there for our birthday's. The food is so good and it was fun to eat out under the big trees at the picnic table. It was fun catching up with everyone's busy lives, we'd had such drenching storms the day before we were all wondering if we could sit outside but it was lovely out, great food to enjoy, and best of friends to chat with !

Today's Sew and Go

We had a great time at Scrapbooks Etc. today, Sew and Go was the class ! We had 28 attend and here was the project. You saw the one the other day that was red on the stand. Lots of fun was had ! Cyndi even brought fudge ! yummm!Here is everyone stitching away, it was kind of fun to sit back and listen to the chatter without the machines going the first hour, everyone stitching and visiting, how cool was that !

We had raffle tickets for everyone, someone was going to win a stand for their project and Jodi won it ! Yea, I was so happy for her, she cried ! She can't come anymore because of work but still wants to get kits each time even if she can't come.
And here are a couple of the finished projects on their way home, how fun it is to see that many happy people and beautiful projects done ! Of course quite a few needed extra kits to take home and make another so that was it for another Sew and Go. Next one is Tuesday Oct. 19.

Finished table runners

I finished up 2 table runners that have been in the works for a bit. They are both gifts so it'll be nice to have them on their way ! They are both out of the book called "Let's do lunch".I'm teaching the Ribbon Candy one next month, I did it in Christmas fabrics and both these runners are out of the same book, one of those books I'd like to do them all ! These were timed pretty good for my beginning quilting class to get the binding on them to show how to do corners and stitching so they've been well viewed for a couple classes by my students.
