Happy little Bode

Ken and I had such fun last night with Bode! Mommy and Daddy had a fun "big people" party to go to so lucky us got to have Bode! He had a few tears again when they left, it's getting to be the same each time, we have to go peek 0ut the door to make sure they are gone and then even go out and look, he was very sad but easily got distracted with hunting kitties and then Papa got the train going!
He loved watching it go and of course each time it passed he would say "MO" for more and wait for it to come around again.
So darn cute, don't you just want to eat him up!

Fast and Fun time with Bode

I love those quick little 1 hour fixes you get to have with your grandsons! We ran down to meet Bode and Chris last night while MB was teaching her teachers. We met them at Chick fila and had fun watching Bode be so big and play in the play area. We inhaled a sandwich and then went over to the San Tan mall to a new ice cream shop called Frost. MMMMM was that good. Gelato that was picture perfect! Busy little Bode enjoyed ice cream, a little bit from all of us.Here hs is looking at the cow at Chick fila. It was hilarious to get to watch this in action! He was scared but really couldn't help but want to see more. He'd run back to Daddy and then turn around and say MOO. Then he'd have to turn around and go back and see where did the "moo" go. Of course when you are only 2 feet high it's hard to see over the people and chairs so he'd go and look, big eyes when he'd see him and watch him, pretty soon running back to Daddy again. By the time he left he was ready to give the cow a hi 5. I was so amazed he wasn't terrified of him and screaming! What a brave little boy! So cute to hear him say Moo! Love these quick little evening fixes of grandsons!

Fun with Bode

We were invited to join Chris and MB at their block party before halloween so we went a bit early and got to watch Bode carve his pumpkin. Here he's trying to put the piece back in.A fun evening spent with them. Bode wasn't to interested in the pumpkin, he still just likes to wander around doing nothing! Such a fun age! He'd come and check it out and then move on!

Happy Birthday Chris!

35 years ago today this cute little guy appeared into the world! Here he is on his 3rd birthday, that's Amy in the highchair...
And here he is today with his own little munchkin, Bode. I got to meet Chris and Bode for a bagel this past Saturday and snapped this cute shot. Do you think they are related???? I hope you have a great birthday Chris! Where do those years go when you see your first born with their own first born !

Bode is home

After teaching my class today I went to the airport to pick up MB and Bode. They've been gone for about 1 1/2 weeks. First to Las Vegas with Daddy while he worked and then Bode and MB went up to Idaho to visit with her parents. I'm sure they had such fun with this little guy. But I"m glad he's home cuz Grammy missed him! He was such a trooper after a long day of travel. We went outside to play in the yard and he carried that sidewalk chalk around the whole time. He loves his kitty Beans and Beans seemed glad to see him (unlike our cats who hear a little boy and spend the day under the bed) So cute toddling around these days.
He's talking even more now, so many new words to hear.
Bode Grammy missed you!

Bode !

Bode came over this week with MB while Daddy is off on his business trip. It was so fun to see him. Ken was still working late, so we just sort of inhaled some dinner and followed Bode around with the wanderings of a 1 year old! He's just getting so big now and toddles all over the place.
We sure had fun watching you Bode! A bath and we found some jammies and a very clean Bode went on home with Mommy for bed.

Bode spends the night

Bode got to come over for the day this weekend and then even ended up spending the night here with his Daddy! Mommy was off with friends doing wedding things so we got to enjoy Bode and his new little toddling steps! It's the main mode of transportation now like Chris said! Here he's trying to decide if the golf club and the ball popper can be carried around together!Pretending with the phone! Sorry for the fuzzy photos, my flash on my camera has died so nothing is focusing very well, ho hum, I think I'll be shopping for a new camera, does anyone have any suggestions on brand and style?
We had ice cream too! hmmmm is that why he kept his daddy up all night?
Bode you kept us in stitches and we loved watching you just walking around doing nothing but discovering !

Bode's Day

Bode got to come play for the day this week. We had such fun. He's such a good little boy.
It's so fun to watch him play intently with "big" toys now.

Bode Time

I got to play with Bode this week early one morning. I got there bright and early so everyone could get to work, and then I had to get to work, so Bode was getting "shifts" of lots of people that day! He's having fun here.....he loves music and dances with his hands up, he gets those shoulders dipping and moving to Yo Gabba Gabba on the computer screen....checkin out Mommy's drawers! He's really letting go now to stand alone....

For those of you always watching what is going on here, I have to catch you up on 2 new pictures I got text to me in the last 2 days! Here is our little Bode at the beach in North Carolina! Hurry home soon Bode! I know you are having fun! Chris said he's amazed how different the Atlantic ocean is, no waves.and here is our little Noah at 3 weeks, isn't he getting some great chunk on him! So cute!

It's our little Bode's First Birthday! My gosh I can't believe you are a year old! I hope you have fun on your own little day in North Carolina on your vacation Bode. Grammy is missing you! Have fun being 1 Bode! Can't wait until you are home!

Bode's 1st Birthday Party

Here's our little Bode who's ready to celebrate his first birthday the end of June. He's going to be off on his trip with Mommy and Daddy to visit his new cousin Noah and then on to spend time at the beach with MB's family so they had his birthday party a bit early. What a great crowd showed up to honor this little guy! 60 in all, and about 25 of them were kids from all their family and friends. What a fun party for you Bode.
He's trying out his new table and chairs that Grammy and Papa gave him, he thought they were so fun and is thinking maybe pushing a chair around all over the floor like a walker is the best!

We all had a great time at the party and everyone else did too. Can't believe you are going to be a year old Bode, what a darling you are! Happy birthday sweetheart!

Memorial Day

We enjoyed a great visit with Chris and MB and Bode on Memorial day. Ken and I both ended up working that day and met up at their house. Mary Beth had a wonderful dinner ready for us, Chris cooked on the grill, corn on the cob, Yum it was all so good.

We spent most of the time on the patio, it was lovely out so we enjoyed being out there and watching Bode explore.
He has a new haircut, first one!
He showed us his t ball! how cute it was, he knew that ball went on top too, every time it came off he got it back on there.

Bode went to bed early and we watched a movie and called it a day, what a relaxing time to enjoy with them!
