Amy's birthday at the Arboretum

We had a marvelous time on Sat. celebrating Amy's birthday at the Arboretum.  It's about 30 minutes from our house and so worth the drive!  It's at a higher elevation so we felt the chill in the air as we arrived that morning.  Here are Garrett, Aiden and Ethan...
It's nestled down in a canyon and the views everywhere are beautiful.  The drive there is so pretty with the flowers all in bloom...
I had fun playing with the prickly pear with a hole in it!  peek a boo!

There are many gardens with trails everywhere, it was quite a fun hike!
A small lake...The boys liked this part of the "hike" once you get beyond some of the main gardens it spreads out and feels more like a hike!
 Ken and the boys...
 Chris and Amy...
 Ken and I...
The boys loved the suspension bridge...
 Ethan with Chris...
You'll see I like taking photo's of flowers, there were so many! The dessert is so pretty if you really look at it!
We loved seeing some of the different gardens, the childrens garden had some fun things for the boys to do and hunt for...
I bet this area is wonderful when the leaves all come out.

 Amy and Aiden...
It's the perfect time of year to visit this venue, not hot and the flowers are georgous!
We had a picnic amongst all this beauty!  They have a very shady area with lots of tables for picnics!

What a fun day we had with you guys!  I hope we can do it again soon!  Here's Amy with her family ready to help blow out the candles in her lemon bars!
