I played hookie for a few hours today at the park. Went in to work for a couple hours and then zoomed to the park for a relaxing few hours to celebrate my friend Judy's birthday with some of the very dearest people I know! It had gotten quite chilly over the weekend but we'd saved this day for weeks on the calendar for Judy's wish for her birthday.....a picnic! So here is our fun little table, it was out in the sunshine and not cold at all, we had hot chocolate while we sat in our lawn chairs each with our hands busily doing something.....a bit of applique from Denise......Judy was knitting, and Linda and I both were stitching bindings down. For lunch Denise made this wonderful tomato soup she brought in a thermos, we had sandwiches and gingerbread for dessert. That's a fun snap pea salad that Denise brought in the jars. Linda had the cute little daisy baskets all ready for us to each put our part of the lunch in. Fun little dish towels were the napkins with the silverware tucked inside. Martha Stewart would have been so impressed! So here are these crazy friends of mine who sat in the park like little old ladies with me, enjoying the sunshine and laughter of old friends! Denise, Linda and Judy. Thanks for the fun relaxing few hours ladies, I loved it all!
