Making Bibs
Our weekly sewing continues at my sisters house, this week we learned to make bibs! Alissa was on vacation so we decided to wait with progress on our table runner and Corissa wanted to learn how to make bibs so that's what we did. They are both patterned up now for baby bibs and toddler bibs so I'm sure more will be made in the future!

Hi Grammy!
Every few days I get one of these on my phone.... a little note from Noah that says Hi Grammy! How fun is that, doesn't make up for not getting to snuggle with him, but our skype sessions help as they hold him close to the screen so I can see all the rolls and yawns. The other Day Jamie and I were chatting and I think he noticed the screen finally....right now he's in to fans and lights and dark things on the wall! Noah you are soooo cute I love my daily little photo's!

Kathy's finished quilt top
Here is Kathy with her finished top from my intermediate class. This is the "white chocolate" one, done in purples! It came out so pretty, she persevered and got it done and the borders ready to finish up, she made hers queen size so that was alot of piecing to do in the 3 week class time. We had a great time visiting during class and I worked on some of my things while she sewed too. She was the only one in class but I didn't want to cancel the class. If someone spends that much on supplies for a class I just can't feel good about canceling a class and would rather help them thru the process instead of canceling it. I guess that is part of sharing your passion!
Christmas tree skirt class
We finished up our Christmas tree skirt class at Scrapbooks yesterday. So many pretty Christmas tree skirts will be ready for the holidays. Here is Linda with hers, it's going to her Daughter who is in Japan with her husband serving in the military. When she gets the red border on it will pop! She has a second one started already for her son, she said it's black and gold. Here is Lynne's, pretty blues with fun little santa's and animals to hunt for.
Lori had pretty red snowflakes.
Yvonne had pretty red and white like mine.
Lucinda has this pretty one with the stripes. She'll have a red border around it yet. They all did so well, were down to the borders and we even got to spend the first hour learning how to do a continuous bias binding, so they've all got their bindings ready to go on once they are quilted. What a nice group of ladies, and what pretty additions to alot of family Christmas memories.

My Date with Garrett!
I had such a fun time on my date with Garrett. When I picked him up he's was ready...cologne on...and he knew right what he wanted to do! Off to the lego store, he picked this firetruck and then we went off to Build a Bear....He brought along his "build a bear" bear so we went in search of an outfit for him. We had a great coupon they send out for your birthday so since it's his birthday week we had to go do something extra special. So he went right to this DARTH VADAR costume and got it. He was so definite on what he decided and chose right away, no thinking about it for to long! So we even got to dress the bear there. Next we went to his choice for lunch...Someburros....he wanted a bean burrito! Then he told me....Now Grammy we are going swimming..... I really wasn't planning for that, but home we went and we got in 1/2 hour of swimming time with just he and I and he had a blast! Time to go home, so we had a McDonalds ice cream cone in the car on the way home. What a big day and so much fun. I was so lucky to go on a date with Garrett!

new bags
It's not like they need them but the other boys were getting fun shirts and things and I figured little bitty boys need something to haul all their things around in. So the little baby animal one is on it's way to little Noah. I'm sure Mommy and Daddy will find something to throw in there to haul to Day Care. And this one went to little Bode. I hear it's already hauled the weeks supply of clothes and diapers to Miss Robins house where he plays each day with his friends.

Lots of Boys!
What a fun afternoon on saturday relaxing and playing with all these boys! We must have been out in the pool for 2 1/2 hours. I'm surprised there is any water left out there as they had such fun swimming, jumping, doing cannonballs, showing me everything they'd learned in their swimming lessons. I did several runs into the house for cheese sticks, go gurts and popsicles. I just love how much they love the water! They left to go home and 1/2 hour later this smiling face was at my door! We sent his Mommy and Daddy off on date and boy did we have fun!
We got out the tunnel and had such fun. He's walking about 3 steps and then decides to go fast and get back down and crawl, Bode loves stacking things and says such cute things, my favorite is Ahh oh, altho it's more of an ah mm. What a great catch up day with little boys it was!

My Date with Aiden!
Aiden and I went on a date on Saturday morning! Just he and I. We had a great time talking and hanging out. He got to choose where we could go, as he could choose where the extra $20 bill could be spent that I had! Off we went to the Lego store. What a great day to hit there as they had all the Star Wars characters dressed up and wandering around the store! He decided on a lego watch and then got a little R2D2 key chain for his back pack too. We went to a few other fun stores to check things out and then he could choose where we could eat lunch.....Panda! So after we ate lunch we went to Swirl it for an ice cream treat and then home to swim. Aiden I"m so glad we could spend the time together! Hard to believe school is starting monday and you'll be busy in Second grade!

This week's Sew and Go
We had a great turn out at Sew and Go this week at Scrapbooks Etc. There were 2 projects to make, one this little bitty personal trash can for all those threads and snips we create. Here is Denise with hers.these gals are working on their other project ( you can see our halloween Block of the month behind them) It's a portable cutting mat...
JoAnn has hers done....
Here is Vicki with her little trash can all folded up...
And Linda with hers, there is sand paper attached to the other side for tracing lines on fabric. Not alot of machine sewing with these projects but both are going to be handy to have...all became pros with the tape! I think 61 were signed up but about 8 have their kits set aside to pick up so we had a fun turnout!

Friend celebration
Bode Time
I got to play with Bode this week early one morning. I got there bright and early so everyone could get to work, and then I had to get to work, so Bode was getting "shifts" of lots of people that day! He's having fun here.....he loves music and dances with his hands up, he gets those shoulders dipping and moving to Yo Gabba Gabba on the computer screen....checkin out Mommy's drawers! He's really letting go now to stand alone....
What a great way to start the morning....with little Bode!

3 Little Boys
I got to have a fun day on friday with 3 little boys! They came bright and early in the morning, it was their movie day so we got to go the movies and see a Shrek movie, of course popcorn and candy treats were involved. Ethan spied Jeremy's old Super Man costume and had to wear it all day so he could be "super E" !After chick fil a lunch we came home and went swimming..... then Ethan had a nap and the other 2 had a blast in my bed watching cartoons all cozied up in the pillows. Then we got to swim again....and after dinner there was a bit of this....
And more swimming...Garrett has gotten to the point of being a total fish with total abandonment to his body...doing flips off the high deck, flat out belly flops, such total cannon balls with that little body... just being crazy and loving the water! We may have someone who loves being a diver on our hands. Such a swimmer at 4 1/2!
Then there was a bit of this going on....
and here is Garrett flying thru the air again! What a fun day we all had!

Sneak Peek at The Sew and Go for Tuesday!
Here's a sneak peek at our sew and Go projects for Tuesday's class at Scrapbooks. I think we have about 53 people coming, kits are cut, we are ready to have fun! We will be making this pretty covered cutting mat and a cute little personal trash can. Here they both are all folded up...and opened up. There is a cutting mat on one side and there is sandpaper on the other side...perfect for drawing lines on fabrics.
We had a wonderful response to our companion project, so we will take orders this time for this cute little needle case. The Companion Projects are a kit with pattern offered in "your" series fabrics so they'll match. They are one of the things we just won't have time to do at Sew and Go but simple enough for you to do at home by yourself.
Here's the inside of the needle case. So if anyone wants a kit cut for the next time be sure and sign up!
