Quilt Camp 2012

Just returned home from another great getaway to the mountains to sew.  We love this place!  We get spoiled rotten with all the food and time to just enjoy friends, laugh and work on projects.  Amy got to go this time with 2 of her friends.  She finished some long awaited projects...her birthday table runner....she's been using it without the binding being finished...now it's done!
I love this group of gals, such inspiration, you'll see by the photo's, so neat to be surrounded by very accomplished quilters.  Here is Denise's applique, all needle turned, she did the setting this weekend, wow it is amazing....
I didn't do great with photo's, just snapping photos of a few things here and there.  This is Donna's, isn't it wonderful, she used all Kaffe fabrics, it was wonderful!
Linda did a couple baby quilts, I didn't get the cute baby girl one, it was darling, here is a boy one, all for babies coming this fall!
Another Denise majestic piece! This one is snowflakes....
Not to many photo's of everyone, but here is Barb...her quilt on the wall, and Sarah, Donna, and Amy 2's back...
Sarah had a couple things going, she did this great string quilt, the yellow was very happy! She gets lots of scraps from everyone so all had fun finding some of their fabrics in this one!
This was a buggy barn Star one Denise was doing...
Here is Denise..... she kept me hopping hearing her fast machine running on my right! I didn't get a good shot of that quilt in the far back left, it was all redwork done by Joann, she was setting that one with the stars...
Amy set her trees, with the help of fabric from Sue!  It's kind of fun, sometimes you don't have what you need and all the sudden it comes out of someone's bag!  There was lots of scrapbooking going on besides sewing, several little bags were made, unplanned, but with everyone sharing all who wanted to got to make them.
Here is Joann, she kept me smiling! you can see Donna, Amy 2 and Corina in the background...
See what I mean by being surrounded by accomplished inspiration!  This is Sue's halloween, all needle turned applique and the beautiful piecing....ahhhhhh! This group has an amazing group of talent....
Yep Sue kept me smiling on the other side of my table!  I won't post much of what I was working on, you'll see it along the way.... Sue even made 2 bags....she's going to the other side!  The most accomplished piecer you could find, we try and get her to do simple things...that's her little clutch bag on the table drying!
Linda was near me, getting lots done!  We sewed, went for a few little walks, laughed talked, slept little, ate lots, we'd be happy sewing and all the sudden Carol our hostess is telling us it's time for food again....all wonderful home made Delicious food!
Barb and I took a bit of time this morning to shoot a few photo's for our patterns, just time to update a few and what better place than the woods with all the neat textures!  This is our little bag pattern and all had fun making it....
Hey I finished up my Bigger than the Kitchen sink bag!  Our pattern that I LOVE!  This bag has my acrylic table safely stowed in it for travel and then all around it are projects !  It's big enough for your 18x24" mat.  We'll update that photo on the pattern now...
I did get a photo of Carol our hostess....she always gets to show us some of her things, she just finished this flag quilt, it was great! Carol likes to come out and sew with us between all her cooking and hostessing, we are her easy group so now that we've been coming for so many years and have had dates on her totally booked calendar for 3 years in advance she just blocks us out time, kind of neat since most can't even get in!
My new Martinique bag we just taught last week at ETC.  Time to print more patterns so maybe a new photo on the front!  Carol has a little store at her camp so now wants patterns for it, need to unpack and get more taken of things we are writing! Some will be available soon on PDF for purchase and then they are at ETC now once we get them all restocked! What a great weekend, always over to fast, only seemed to work on about 1/4 of what I took but it eventually gets it's turn to come out and play!  So Quilt camp is over, sure was fun to escape and enjoy!
