Afternoon Bode time
I got to go over and play with Bode this afternoon while MB ran to meet some coworkers, Ken came home in time to go ( imagine that ! ) So we had a good time, he's growing so fast now at 6 weeks old, no more newborn look, now he's just got that tiny baby look to him. Busy swinging his arms and kicking his legs with lots of sounds to make. He had a couple good little naps on me in the rocking chair...ahhhhh !
Update on the apron Sweat shop
I did the first delivery of aprons this week, 2 hangers of them ( 10 ) left. It'll be easier for me to take 10 in every time I go to work and easier for them to pay out the invoice too.
I still have another 10 yet in process, a few of the "problem" ones that got tossed on a pile having no tie or needing a pocket or something. There will be somewhere around 40 of them when I'm done, still waiting to dig thru everything for the final count, the mess in the sweat shop will be over soon !

Store Sample
This is the first store sample they wanted made at Scrapbooks Etc. It was lots of fun to make and came out really well. They had the fabric and wanted me to figure out what to do so this is what I chose...
It was a fun use of this patriotic fabric, lap size.
I had this on my blog header for awhile before I was actually telling people about the new job.
There were alot of leftover pieces so I whipped up this table runner for them also making a pattern up for it.

Introduction to Arizona !
We've been having such a nice visit with Vickie ! I just had to write fast so you "daughters" would all know what a trooper your Mom is ! We had a fun "chaotic" sort of pizza time with Amy's family,it was fun to see the boys and once half the restaurant left it wasn't so bad ! What a busy place that was. Amy made cupcakes so we could sing happy birthday to Vickie with a candle, then Ken and Vickie and I left and just happened to go by Dairy Queen so we introduced her to one of our favorite indulgences.....a blizzard. It was so pretty out yet that we ate outside on the patio before coming home to go over some maps out of their basket, get oriented on which way she's heading out this morning... Then the true fun began as she joined us in a scorpion hunt ! It was a rather slow night since it wasn't to hot and we did go out a bit early but we did find about 4 of the little buggers, all babies and teenagers but she was able to see how they glow before Ken took them out with his torch ! What an introduction to the dessert for this New Jersey gal ! Thanks for being a trooper Vickie !

Vickie Made it !
Well after months and months of planning Vickie has arrived ! Here is Jamie's Mom and Ken at the airport, getting ready to load her worldly possessions of 2 suitcases and Joseph's wheelchair into the truck ! Vickie and Bruce and Joseph have decided to move to Arizona and make it their new home, so welcome to the Ciotta's, we are glad you are here !
Vickie is staying the day with us, we are headed out to have pizza with Amy's family and then home for the night, she will meet Bruce and Joseph tomorrow when the medical transport arrives from New Jersey ! So we are having a bit of rest time now, we've gotten our chores done... taken a quick driving tour thru Gilbert on the way to the shop where their van was delivered by car transport earlier this week. We retrieved the van and decided it was in need of a car wash after all those miles on a car carrier thru the east coast and clear across the US. We even had the "how do you get gas" lesson for Vickie, as in NJ you don't pump your own gas....she's a pro now ! Lots of settling in for them in the next few weeks as they find their way around , it'll be great to have them in Arizona ! (So for you 4 daughters that are all across the world, your Mom is here in good shape and great spirit, I know you are waiting to hear ! )

New Job...
So here is where I'm going to be working....
Of all places that will be fun to work at, this was it ! I actually started for them a month ago doing sewing, you remember the apron project that is still in process. Well this is who I'm sewing them for, they will be selling them at a major event they host for scrapbookers coming from all over the world for classes. They've extended a great space in their store to fabric and have become a great source of everything fabric too. Amongst sewing aprons for them all the sudden they wanted some shop samples done for the fabric area, so I've been working on those and will show you those soon too, it's been alot of fun to work with their fun and fresh fabrics, very trendy styles. A few weeks into these projects and they offered me a job to come and work there, what a great opportunity it was, a significant raise in pay and the opportunity to do alot of teaching besides helping them as they expand their store with sewing expertise. It was to good to pass up so I gave notice( 6 weeks ago) and am starting this week. It'll be alot of fun things to learn, new people, new processes, new machines. My brain has run amuck with making aprons, shop samples and my class samples, there are quilts and fabric literally all over my house, 2 have gone out this week, one class sample is still on the pool table, several more to make, the apron sweat shop is still happening, it's very exciting and it'll be fun to get started as classes start in Sept. I'll post lots of project pictures soon !

What a great way to start the day !
Good Morning Bode ! I had the pleasure of getting to go over to Chris and MB's early one morning, I had the wee hours free before I started on the clock at my sewing machine so I went over to spend some morning hours with Bode ! 6:30 AM I arrived and he's wide awake so he and I had a couple hours of fun time this morning while Mommy and Daddy got another hour or so of sleep !
Before I left he decided it was time to sleep, what a great way to start the day rocking little Bode Baby 4 weeks old !
