Here goes a bit of what I was doing for the week in Houston at Quilt Market with my boss. It was a great experience to be able to go and absorb what the industry has coming for the next year. Here is a picture of Houston's convention center we were at for the week. Mary and I arrived thursday, went to an event called Schoolhouse on friday which was an all day planned sessions of 30 minutes each and we each went to different sessions jam packed with ideas and things for a quilt shop. Ken arrived very late on friday so after picking him up we ate chocolate chip pancakes at IHop at midnight !Here is just the downtown of Houson with all the heavy clouds we saw daily.

We had a small kitchen in our hotel suite so it was nice to make sandwiches daily and we had a picnic lunch out across the street at a park...Ken took this pretty picture of a lilly pad.

And after long days at Market we had to do a bit of this...And even a bit of this !These next two pictures are from one of the parties at night, the fabric companies throw these big shindigs with food and fun so they invite all the retailers that buy from them.

yummy ! After cramming in the long day at Schoolhouse, the sample spree that night, 3 full days at the show it was nice to get home on tuesday to one lonesome hubby and 2 lonesome cats !
